Frequently Asked Questions

When should I start planning my trip?

The ideal time to start planning your trip is 4-7 months before your desired travel date.  Our process to develop your personalized travel itinerary usually takes about 2-3 weeks from the initial consultation call.

What if my trip is less than seven days?

The trip planning fee is a per day cost, so you are only charged for the number of days planned. Our packages cover planning up to seven days.  If your trip is over seven days, there is an additional cost of $10 per each additional day.

What if my trip is longer than seven days?

No problem! We only charge $10 per day for each additional day planned over seven days.

What is the difference between the packages?

With the premium package, we handle everything including booking your airfare, transportation, accommodations, and activities. There is nothing for you to worry about! The plus package includes everything in the premium package except you are responsible for booking your own airfare. With the essentials package, we only provide a personalized daily itinerary. The essentials package is best for travelers who have already secured airfare and lodging accommodations, but are unsure of how to spend their time on their vacation. If you are looking to go on a cruise or vacation on an all-inclusive resort, select that package.

What is the price for a cruise or an all-inclusive land vacation?

For all cruises and all-inclusive land vacations, we only charge a $25/per person planning fee

Does the planning fee cover everyone in my travel group?

Yes, the planning fee covers everyone going on the trip. For your convenience, individual invoices can be provided.

What if there are more than four people in my group?

No problem! We only charge $10 per person for each additional person in the travel group.

Is there a deposit required for your services?

Yes. After the free consultation call, a deposit of $25 is required to start planning your trip. This deposit will be applied to your total trip planning fee. The remaining amount must be paid before the final itinerary is delivered (usually 2-3 weeks after the consultation call).

The deposit for the actual vacation will vary depending on the timing, activities, and destination you select.

Can I pay for my vacation in installments?

Depending on the timing, activities, and destination you select, payment plans can be arranged. For example, most cruises and land-based all-inclusive vacations can be paid for in installments.

Do you offer trip insurance?

Yes, we offer trip insurance and highly advise our clients to purchase protection for their vacation.  However, the Your Travel MC trip planning fee is non-refundable.
